I am a dork!

Alright, first actual post of the new blog. And first actual post of the school year either. Well, this semester and this new year. I had meant to write some sentimental blog about the year past. But never felt like it. And still don't. I guess maybe I don't feel like looking back. There were some not so great things about last year, but also way too many great and amazing things that happened. I have grown so much and am still learning some of the best lessons of my life. So I guess my New Year post is to say "that year past, this one is starting." That is all I have to say because I don't know what is in store. And I am thankful and excited for that.

So back to life. "On the Town" is up and running. Very VERY creaky still and sometimes we're walking on thin ice, but we are getting there. We said goodbye to a talent, a classmate and friend, and welcomed a new Ozzie who is not letting us fall. Congrats to both of you. Only a couple more weeks to go until my first ever Haar show. YAY!

I am in a Shakespeare in film class and though I have so much to learn, especially because we are reading 7 (!!!!!!) plays in that short time, I can't get over how comfortable and confident I feel in that class. It's awesome. I really feel like an actor, especially after answering a question with a theatre term and having Scott say " you're an actor aren't you". Made my day. Already on the third act of Henry V and really enjoying it. Despite being a historical play, there are some pretty damn clever scenes. Or maybe it's just me.

I had $80 in gift cards for Chapters, so checked online and found $80 Lexicons. On sale for $40!!!!!!!! Should be here in 6-9 business days, I can't wait! I am such a dork, just like Ivy. Except that she is supposed to be able to dance really well..... I am still figuring that one out.
But for now, onto Act III Scene III

(see, waddatellya? I'm a dork!... dork dork dork dork ... it's the new smock)
